Italy in the heart

This project was born from the fusion of Northern and Southern Italy: two worlds that meet, complement, and complete each other to express the purity of tradition.

The North is represented by Loredana, originally from Canove di Govone, a small village near Alba, nestled in the lands of Langhe and Roero, in the Piemonte region. 

The South is represented by Carmine, born in Napoli, the vibrant capital of Campania region.

Since childhood, both have been deeply passionate about food, from growing ingredients to exploring culinary traditions. Along their personal and professional journeys, they gained valuable experience across a wide range of fields: from working in cafetarias and cocktail bars to studying wine production and tasting; from traditional rotisserie and table service to marketing, sales, and agricultural production; from the art of traditional pizza to crafting fresh and dry pasta; from teamwork to leading, managing and training staff.

Eventually, Loredana and Carmine, who had already moved abroad, met on Madeira Island. It was there that the personal and the professional partnership began: a union of North and South, coming together to share one unified Italian tradition in the heart of Madeira.

After years spent managing a restaurant, the time finally came to embark on a new, exciting adventure: and so, all the pieces came together to create the Ristorante Pizzeria Radices project!

Loredana e Carmine, together with their entire service and kitchen team, are ready to welcome you and take you on a delicious journey through Italy.
